Participate in the Science Speed Talks

Science Speed ​​Talks 

  • Science Speed Talks is a competition in which students present the key messages of their posters through a three-minute oral presentation.
  • The final of the Science Speed Talks competition will take place during the closing ceremony of the Geneva Health Forum on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
  • Three selected authors will participate in the final in Geneva.
  • The winner will receive the “Jet d’Or de Genève” Award, along with a prize of CHF 1,000.

A person can participate in the Science Speed Talks competition if they meet the following criteria:

  • They submit a poster for the Geneva Health Forum conference.
  • The work presented in the poster was conducted as part of their academic studies (Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent).

Finalists must pay their conference registration fee before October 1, 2026.

How can candidates apply for the Science Speed Talks?

  • Candidates must submit a three-minute video before September 15, 2026.
  • Students should send their video presentation to the Geneva Health Forum according to the submission procedure available at: https://sciencespeedtalks.genevahealthforum.com
  • A jury will evaluate the submitted videos and select the three finalists who will participate in the final competition.
  • The three finalists will be announced on September 20, 2026.
  • The finalists will attend the Geneva Health Forum conference in person and present their Science Speed Talk during the closing ceremony on Thursday, November 12, 2026.
  • Participants attending the GHF conference will vote to select the winner.
  • The winner will receive the “Jet d’Or de Genève” Award and a prize of CHF 1,000.
  • The video must be approximately 3 minutes long.
  • The presentation can be delivered in French or English.
  • The video file size must be less than 300 MB.
  • The video format must be MP4.
  • A professional coach will support the three finalists in improving their presentations and communication skills.
  • A travel grant will be available for finalists coming from low-income countries.
