Guide for proposing posters

How to submit a poster?

  • Presentations are done in the form of scientific posters
  • The scientific poster will be shown electronically during the GHF conference.
  • The call for posters is open to all global health actors: health care professionals involved in the economics of health care, ethics, the social sciences, new digital technologies, data science etc ….
  • Posters can be submitted by seasoned researchers as well as persons conducting their research in the context of their studies (PhD, Masters).
  • Proposals for presentations are prepared in the form of a abstract.
  • You can submit the poster even if you are not physically participating in the GHF conference.
  • You can propose a poster between June 15 to September 1.

To facilitate effective communication:

  • Abstracts should be crafted in either French or English
  • The title of the abstract cannot exceed 250 characters.
  • The text of the abstract cannot exceed 2500 characters, spaces and acknowledgements included.

Your abstract should encompass four essential components:

  1. Introduction – Objectives: Provide context for your work and clearly define the objectives of your presentation.
  2. Methodology: Offer a detailed account of the methods employed, including your selection of observations or subjects from your research experience.
  3. Results and Discussions: Present the results and discussions of the study or project. Emphasize important and innovative aspects of your work.
  4. Conclusions: Summarize the main conclusions drawn from your research.

Please note that the use of tables, photos, and graphs is not permitted in the abstract.

  • All abstracts submitted will be examined by the Selection Committee of GHF 2026. Each abstract will be studied by two examiners.
  • The result of the evaluation will be announced in the three weeks following the proposition of contribution.
  • The definitive acceptance of a presentation is contingent upon the payment of the GHF registration fee by the author.
  • For consistency and ease of presentation, all posters should adhere to a standardized size of 42 x 75 cm, with 1.5 cm margins for content.
  • The poster will be in Vertical (portrait format)
  • This uniformity in size ensures clarity and coherence across all posters.
  • The poster will be send in a PDF format.

We are committed to sharing the wealth of knowledge presented at GHF Conference:

  • Posters will be published on the GHF website during and after the conference.
  • Additionally, posters will be published in an electronic compilation of all the posters presented at the GHF.
  • Summaries of oral presentations will be published on the GHF website during and after the conference.
  • By submitting a presentation (oral or poster), authors grant consent for its publication.

A distinguished panel will select the seven most outstanding scientific posters. GHF attendees will then vote to identify the poster that contributes most significantly to the advancement of human health, which will be honored with the prestigious “Jet d’Or of Geneva” prize.

Participants who have created posters as part of their academic journey (PhD, Masters) can participate in Science Speed Talk—a competition where authors succinctly present their poster in just 3 minutes. A panel of judges will select the top 4 presenters, and the GHF audience will vote on the most convincing presenter.

Limited funding is available for participants from low and middle-income countries, whose presentations are selected by the Selection Committee. This support encompasses expenses related to visas, travel, and lodging for the full duration of GHF’s three-day program.

  • Decision notifications: January 31, 2024
